Norland Place School was founded in 1876. The children are prepared for entry into preparatory schools at 8 (boys) and CE and Independent School entry at 11+ (girls). Music and French are taught throughout the school. Individual music tuition can be arranged in several instruments. Sports include football, netball, tennis, rounders and swimming. Boys 4-8, girls 4-11.
Norland is a non-selective school divided into parallel class up until the age of 8 when the boys leave. From the age of nine girls are taught in divisions for maths, English and science. Norland possesses 2 playgrounds and a 60ft Assembly Hall also music, art, science and IT rooms. Games are played at Avondale Park and Holland Park Tennis Club. Frequent concerts are held at the Ukranian Hall or St James's Norland.
